HAVE CAMERA WILL SHOOT v2

 

Maybe you took the HCWS v1 workshop, maybe you didn't. Have Camera Will Shoot v2 is an extension of the idea of the first one. No, you are required to have taken v1, however a solid knowledge of your camera and shooting in manual is encouraged (as that is not taught in this course).

In v2 we dive a bit deeper into some of the technical aspects of photography we didn't have the time to cover in v1, but end up immersing ourselves in one of the most important parts of the art: light (natural light that is). Read on!

We will spend a day together, another cozy little group of photographers, pushing your knowledge and taking your images to a new level. A day full of hands on learning, as always - Q&A, and the shooting of actual models - I promise it will be great.

Please note: this is not a posing class, instead we will be shooting together while we look at light, composition, perspective, and more.

What to expect

So glad you asked! HCWS v.2 is limited to only 8 attendees, (or can be done in a on-on-one setting), a comfy little group, in a cozy setting, chatting like the kindred photo-loving friends we will be.
 

We will gather together at 9am, and conclude by 3pm. Here are the topics we will be discussing:

  • Pixels + Resolution
  • JPEG vs RAW (which is better? or is it?)
  • Cropping
  • White Balance
  • Composition + Perspective
  • Natural Light (finding it, using it, loving it)

What to bring:

  • Yourself!
  • Lots of smiles!
  • Your DSLR + lens(es)
  • Fully charged battery + empty memory card.
  • Your workbook (if you're a returning student).

What will you get:

  • A Have Camera Will Shoot v2workbook (or inserts to add to your v1 workbook) to take home.
  • Good eats + lots of coffee (duh!)

 

Ready to host a group workshop?

Group workshops are usually hosted on an interest-led basis. Minimum attendees is 4, max is 8. Whether you have a group of interested friends, or not, send me a note and I'd be glad to plan out a class for you!

HCWS v.2 one-on-one covers the same information mentioned above, but is just the two of us! You have free reign to ask any and all questions and get my undivided attention.
